Pregnancy Care
If you’ve been told that your back pain, sciatica, foot pain, or spasms are ‘just part of pregnancy,’ you actually don’t have to suffer through this!
At Peak Pelvic Health, we have multiple therapists trained in the gold-standard Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES) program, and we see patients throughout the entire pregnancy journey.
Here’s what you’ll get when you see us for pregnancy care:
Hands-on techniques for immediate symptom relief
Our comprehensive birth preparation approach includes treating tightness in the body to allow labor to flow, ensuring you have proper pelvic floor coordination for pushing, perineal stretching, and more.
Quarterly birth classes for those who would like to learn the basics of how to prepare their pelvic floor for birth.
Our team of specialists has undergone extensive training and coursework to provide pain relief, movement optimization, and birth preparation that actually work.
Your PT will provide a whole-body evaluation, as pregnancy does not just affect the pelvic floor. From there, you’ll get hands-on treatment, from day one, to alleviate pain and tools to help you manage symptoms until baby arrives!
If you’re pregnant, here’s when we recommend you come see us:
If you are in pain, it is recommended to come in ASAP
If you have had a complicated delivery or would like to prepare for VBAC, it is best to come in earlier in pregnancy to identify and treat any factors that might have complicated past pregnancies
If this is your first pregnancy and you just want to ‘get things checked out’ -we are all for it!
At a minimum, we recommend getting a pelvic floor assessment early in the 3rd trimester to prepare for labor and delivery and optimize your postpartum recovery.
To get started, click the button below to fill out the new patient inquiry form and we will reach out within 1 business day. You can also call us directly during business hours to get on the schedule or contact us with any more questions; our trained staff would love to help you.
“I had complete control of when and how hard I pushed the entire time, and I had no tearing or even much pain immediately following my third baby. My recovery has been a breeze this time around and I attribute much of that to Dr. Willis and her ability to listen intently to my goals and desires and instantly implement a plan to help me achieve what I was wanting - which was to be as prepared physically, mentally and emotionally prepared for labor as I could and to not tear.” -Kate
